Upright Bass!!!!

 

w00t! I'm getting an Upright Bass finally!!!!

I've spent a long time listening to and collecting the music of Dave Holland, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane to Stanley Clarke, to 'Medeski Martin and Wood' along with some of the DB residents of TalkBass.com

I chanced upon the first Talkbass.com post by Andy McKee (killer Jazz bassist filling Mingus' shoes in "The Mingus Big Band"). He stopped by to offer up a deserving little Pre WWII East German Ply in need of some TLC at a good price. So, at long last I'm stepping into my first real bass AND it's coming along with a bit of History 8-)
